-
singing in the summer consists of standalone weekly modules, allowing you to put together your ideal singing summer.
In an inspiring location, you’ll enjoy beautiful group singing with like-minded people and—under passionate guidance—seemingly effortlessly push your musical boundaries.
-
The program consists of various weekly modules in July and August.
Each module lasts one week, during which you sing for two hours on four days, with a short break in between.
The modules differ in level and repertoire: in each module we sing one song or piece, at your level, in a style or genre that suits you.
-
Expect a relaxed, energizing, and inspiring experience.
Conductor Joep Hegger provides fresh, dynamic arrangements in which every part is interesting.
With each module, your voice grows stronger and freer, your musicality develops—and you’ll meet new people who share your passion for singing.
-
We use three levels: beginner, experienced, and advanced.
Beginner: you have (virtually) no experience with singing lessons, choir singing, or learning music.
Experienced: you have one to a few years of experience with singing lessons, choir singing, or learning music. You can read notes reasonably well, and you can imitate/sing back a melody quite well.
Advanced: you have at least five years of experience with singing lessons, choir experience, and learning music. You can read notes, and you can immediately sing back a melody that is sung to you.
Not sure? Then choose one level lower, or choose two modules in a row—first a lower one, then a higher one.

We sing in studio 102, a beautiful open space in Amsterdam-Noord, between the water and greenery just outside the city.
The minimalist, open space—where wood and glass dominate—was designed so that the boundaries between inside and outside fade away.
The acoustics are wonderful, and during the breaks you can fully immerse yourself in the greenery at one of the many outdoor spots.
The location is a 20-minute bike ride from Amsterdam Central Station, a 5-minute bike ride from Metro Station Noord, and parking in front of the door is free.
